A Brief History

Dr. Young grew up in Kamas, Utah. The oldest of five siblings, he attended Summit High School, where he played varsity football and served in student government. His goal in high school was to become a professional football player, but when an injury in a game led to a torn ACL and a broken tooth, he discovered an interest in dental medicine. In college, he met Maria Gonzalez, and they are happily married with two children, Camren and John. In recent years, the Colosimo family has enjoyed exciting vacations to Italy, New Zealand, and Japan. Dr. Colosimo practices endodontics in Santaquin, Utah.

 

Education and Training

Dr. Young graduated magna cum laude from from the University of Michigan. After graduation, he spent one season working in Chicago with Dr. Gromley. There, he learned additional skills related to cosmetic dentistry and worked on opening his own practice. He and Maria decided to settle back in Utah near their families in Santaquin. He’s always wanted to serve the southern Utah County community through dentistry. He is one of three practicing dentists in his family.

 

A Giving Attitude

Each year, Dr. Young and the entire staff at Barbara Young, DDS serve the community and our country by volunteering at the Memorial State Veterans Department. On this wonderful day, the team helps veterans solve their dental health problems at no cost. Dr. Young and team was recently highlighted on Channel 4 news. In addition to supporting the veterans in our community, Dr. Young and team also participate in the annual Smiles For Life campaign. In this campaign, all monies generated from teeth whitening are donated to local and national charities to help children with cancer.
